As spring break quickly approaches, HRG&SP and The Sorcerer team continue to prep for opening night! Staff members and cast have been working arduously throughout February in order to prepare for load-in.
Resuming our residency in the historic Agassiz Theatre this week, our team will work to transform the space into a quaint, pastel village designed by Sabrina Richert ‘20. Under the leadership of our fantastic Technical Director, Katie Polik ‘18, we will install many of our key scenic elements this week! Starting theses efforts on Wednesday, a combined effort of our entire team has been essential in completing many large-scale build and light projects.
Technicians, board members, and actors will continue working throughout this week and through Spring Break to fully transform the space into a bucolic town center. Our wonderful paint team will transform various wooden facades crafted by our fantastic build team into pastel works of art. Our costume team, headed by costume designer, Moriah Lee ’19, will be working hard to costume our entire chorus in 1950s-style attire, and our lights team, headed by lighting designer, Samantha Tham ‘20, will work some magic of its own and bring together these elements to bring the audience into the world of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Sorcerer.
Make sure to mark your calendars for HRG&SP’s production of The Sorcerer, opening Friday, March 24th!
