Hearty Greeting Offer We!

Greetings! After 2.5 years of hiatus, the Harvard-Radcliffe Gilbert and Sullivan Players are back! After a successful run with The Pirates of Penzance this fall, we are pleased to continue keeping the Harvard tradition of Gilbert and Sullivan alive for years to come and bringing you many more delightful productions in the future.

To us (and likely to you reading this as well), the shows of Gilbert and Sullivan are one of a kind. Bridging the gap between musical theater and classical opera with timeless satirical plots, witty lyrics, and catchy and beautiful tunes, they lend themselves to performers of a wide variety of styles and experiences. But what will always make Gilbert and Sullivan special at Harvard is not just the great music, but the incredibly strong sense of community that putting on a production like this creates. Through our work this semester and our interactions with our wonderful fans and alumni, it has become more apparent to us than ever how important Gilbert and Sullivan is to Harvard tradition and culture, not to mention that of Cambridge, Boston, and Massachusetts. HRG&SP has always been the best place for people to get an introduction into the arts at our college whether one is interested in tech, performing, or directing. We therefore hope to inspire many more generations of students to join our organization and maintain the spirit of G&S at Harvard.

Thank you all so much for all of the continued support you have given us over the years, and forward on the foe!
